If you’re a Norwegian Cruise Line passenger who likes to enjoy adult beverages while cruising, there’s new incentive to claim one of the “Free at Seas” beverage package bonus offers. According to a March 1st USA Today article, NCL has increased the cost of the Ultimate Beverage Package from $69 per person/per day to $79 per person per day.
Fortunately there are often bonus offers available to cover the cost of the beverage package. NCL’s current “Free at Sea” program offers one, two, or four bonus, depending on cabin type. One of the bonuses offered is the Ultimate Beverage Package for the first two guests in a cabin.
The prevalence of these bonus offers and the high price tag placed on the package makes us wonder if anyone actually purchases the package or if it primarily exists as a booking incentive perk. The package provides an unlimited supply of beverages priced at under $15 each (the package also includes free fountain sodas and juices). At $79 a day, the package doesn’t become much of a deal unless you’re consuming a lot of beverages ($79 in cash would buy five beverages at the $15 price). At any rate, the beverage package, and other bonuses, are good to get if you can.
If you’re sailing on the Norwegian Sky, you’ll want to pick one of the other bonus packages because all Norwegian Sky cruises after 1/04/16 now come with the Unlimited Beverages Package. See terms and conditions of the Norwegian Sky Beverage Package.
Norwegian Cruise Line ships that sail from Miami include the Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Pearl, and Norwegian Sky.
