About the Disney Magic
Disney Magic was one of the first ships in Disney’s Cruise Line’s fleet. To keep the Magic fresh, Disney gave her a major refurbishment in 2018. The ship maintains its classic Art Deco ocean liner look and competes with the newest ships in amenities including a wealth of dining options, Broadway-style entertainment, and plenty of entertainment options for kids and adults.
The Disney Magic sails short three and four night cruises to the Bahamas from Miami, as well as longer five to seven night cruises to the Caribbean.
As with all of Disney’s cruise ships, the Disney Magic is designed with family fun in mind. Disney does a great job of providing a nice mix of entertainment and activities for that is for kids-only, families, and adults-only. Kids will enjoy the Marvel Avengers Academy and kids clubs. Pool activities, stage shows, and movies are fun for the whole family. The grown-ups will enjoy adults-only areas and activities, including the Quiet Cove Pool, nightclubs and lounges, and a luxurious spa.
One of the fun things about Disney cruises is that they feature three different main dining rooms in what they call “Rotational Dining.” Passengers rotate to a different dining each night of the cruise, allowing each of the dining rooms’ special themes and menus to be enjoyed by everyone. On the Disney Magic, the dining room themes are Animator’s Palate, which features a dinner show; Lumiere’s with American and French cuisine; and the South-American inspired Carioca’s.
There are also casual dining options available, including a lunch and dinner buffet, a spot for burgers, tacos and hot dogs, and a pizza place.
