Carnival Cruise Lines has announced the shifting of some of their fleet for 2016 and one of the changes brings the Carnival Fantasy to the Port of Miami beginning February 2016.
The Carnival Fantasy currently cruises out of Charleston, SC. Once the ship arrives in Miami, it will make regular three and four day cruises to Nassau, Key West, and Cozumel.
Although the arrival of the Fantasy brings a new ship to Port of Miami, it seems that the shift won’t result in a net gain in Carnival ships departing from this port. Carnival has announced that the Carnival Ecstasy, which is currently based in Miami, will be shifted to Charleston in February 2016, and the Carnival Victory, also currently based in Miami, will shift to San Juan in November of 2016.
