Carnival Vista Now Sailing from Miami

CarnivalVista_PR1jpgThe Carnival Vista, the newest and largest ship in the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet is now cruising from the Port of Miami. The ship arrived in late November and departed on its first Caribbean cruise on December 3rd.

The Vista has a variety of 6, 7 & 8 night Caribbean cruises scheduled through the spring of 2018. Ports of call include Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, Curacao, Aruba, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and more. Continue reading

Carnival Splendor Shifts From Miami to Port Everglades

carnival splendor bowCarnival Cruise Line has announced that the Carnival Splendor will shift from Miami to Port Everglades in 2017. According to an August 18th article in the Sun Sentinel, the shift is part of a new agreement between the cruise line and Port Everglades which extends Carnival’s contract with the port through 2030.

The new contract gives Carnival preferential rights to use of several of Port Everglades’ terminals, including the newly renovated Terminal 4. Carnival plans to make use of this increased access by bringing in more and bigger ships. The shift of Carnival Splendor to Port Everglades is the first of those moves.  Continue reading
