Norwegian Sky 4-Night Cruises to Cuba & the Bahamas

Norwegian Cruise Line has extended their schedule of 4-Night Cuba cruises with weekly Monday departures through December of this year.  The first Norwegian Sky cruise to Cuba from Miami departs May 1, 2017. The four-night voyages include an overnight stay in Havana, Cuba and a stop at Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas).  The stay in Cuba includes opportunities for passengers to participate in “people-to-people” cultural exchanges, which are a requirement placed on the cruises by United States regulations governing travel to Cuba. MSC Announces a Third Ship for Miami

MSC Cruises has announced that they plan to add a third ship to their fleet sailing from Miami.  The ship will be part of their new Meraviglia Class and is expected to arrive in Miami in 2019.

MSC currently operates one cruise ship out of Miami, the Divina. The brand new MSC Seaside will begin sailing from Miami in December of this year.

The new Meraviglia Class ships will be MSC’s largest, with a capacity for 4,500 passengers at double occupancy.

The addition of a third ship home ported in Miami will help solidify the European-based MSC Cruise’s efforts to break into the Caribbean cruise market and to establish themselves as a recognized brand in the American cruise market.




Regent Seven Seas Explorer “The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built” Comes to Miami

Regent Seven Seas has proclaimed it’s newest ship, the Seven Seas Explorer, to be the most luxurious ship ever built, and from the glowing press the ship is receiving, that seems to not be an empty boast. Forbes says ” … with a mix of over-the-top service, marble by the acre and guest suites so opulent, it’s almost impolite to call it a cruise ship.”

The Seven Seas Explorer had a short stay in Miami during the end of 2016, sailing 14-night and a 10 night Caribbean cruises in December. The ship returns to Miami February 4th for the beginning of a Miami homeport that will include six back-to-back 10-night Caribbean cruises from February 4th to March 16th.
