There’s been a movement by several of the major cruise lines over the last few years to incorporate restaurants and menus designed by celebrity chefs.
Ships cruising from Miami that feature celebrity chef-inspired dining include the Carnival Breeze, Carnival Glory, Carnival Vista, Norwegian Getaway, and Norwegian Escape.
Guy Fieri’s (of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) “Guy’s Burger Joint” can be found on Carnival’s Breeze, Glory, and Vista.
The “Ocean Blue” seafood restaurant on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Getaway was developed by chef Geoffrey Zakarian (of Food Network’s Iron Chef). The Getaway also features “Carlo’s Bake Shop,” designed by Buddy Valastro of TLC’s Cake Boss.
NCL’s new Norwegian Escape features “Bayamo,” a Latin-style seafood restaurant, and “Pincho Tapas Bar” by Jose Garces (of Food Network’s Iron Chef)
The availability of a variety of dining venues is one of the major draws for modern cruise ships and these celebrity dining options provides passengers with a new set of exciting on-board dining experiences to enjoy.
