Cruises across the Atlantic from the US to Europe are most often associated with the traditional super-luxury cruises that travel from New York to England. But if you choose the right time of the year you can catch one of these transatlantic cruises out of Miami.
Repositioning Cruises From Miami To Europe
Atlantic Ocean crossings from Miami usually fall into one of two categories: repositioning cruises and portions of around-the-world cruises. The cruises departing from Miami in April are of the repositioning variety – the ships are being moved to Europe for the summer season. (You can find repositioning cruises coming the other direction in late summer and early autumn.)
Jewel Of The Seas 14-Night Cruise To Europe
In late April Royal Caribbean’s Jewel Of The Seas will complete it’s season of making 5 and 6-night cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean from Miami. It will be spending the summer months making cruises out of Barcelona and Amsterdam so it will depart on its annual eastbound transatlantic trip on April 28th.
The cruise takes 14 days and makes stops in Funchal (on Portugal’s Madeira Island); Vigo, Spain; and Bruges, Belgium before ending in Amsterdam.
14-Night Northern European Cruise On Seven Seas Splendor
Regen Seven Seas Cruises’ ship Splendor spends the winter months making luxury cruises from Miami to the eastern and western Caribbean. This summer Splendor will be cruising northern Europe, with departures from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Southampton (not too far from London).
Seven Seas Splendor transatlantic repositioning cruise departs from Miami on April 5th. The itinerary for the 14-day cruise will include visits to Bermuda; Ponta Delgada, Azore Islands; Malaga, Spain; and Cartagena, Spain, ending in Barcelona.
